Seeing My Doc Tomorrow to Get on the Wagon
So I have reached the conclusion I just cannot do inpatient detox right now. But I need to quit RIGHT NOW. So I am seeing my doc tomorrow to get her advice on detoxing on my own, and getting some anxiety meds.
So the journey has begun, and I am choosing a fork in the road to take. Wish me strength! I am actually pretty excited about it. Now if I could feel the same way about all the other BS going on! 😉

Awesome news! So glad to see you ready to make this choice, believe me when I tell you, you will not regret it!
As far as the other BS going on, believe me you'll be much better quipped to deal with anything on your plate if you dont have the poison in your system and having a clear mind will help you get through anything that comes your way!
Not gonna wish you luck, but I do wish for you all of the strength that you will need to get through these early days. Stick close to this group, let us help you!

Congrats on getting help to start your recovery. I wish you luck.
The other BS will always be there. But there is nothing that drinking will not make worse. I know that I need help, support and guidance in order to be successful. I cannot do this alone.

I am excited for you. I am only 3 1/2 days in and I know I wouldn't have been able to make it this far with our SR and talking to my MD. Getting to the place where a decision is made is in itself a big step. Keep posting. It has made THE difference for me!!
