Day 1 Hi everyone… I'm here for support. I am so sick and tired of the continual start overs… and just ready for a new beginning being sober. I have been reading a lot on this forum, and have become aware of my triggers. The main one is as soon as I get off of work… just wanting to feel relaxed. The other main trigger is when I wake up on the weekends… I'm not sure if it's because I'm lonely or bored, but I drink when I wake up. During the week l drink only after work, and I plan to stop TODAY. I will be back later to post when I get off of work… when the urge is super strong!! I realize that this is a problem, and I want to be the best single mom for my son. I also want to be healthy from the inside out. This is soooo hard… but I'm ready. |
:welcome x |
Thank you😃 |
What part of the world are you in? :) |

Welcome Roselover you can do it, I hope you post later after work. Please think about your Son, I am in the same boat as you but with 3 kids, if I don't stop their future is in jeopardy, do it for you and your Son. I am on 9 days and its getting better, at least clear head in work now. Good Luck. |

Welcome, Instead of drinking....eat. Then have desert. It will make the crave go away. Eat candy when u crave. It tricks the brain. Once you get some sober time you won't need the candy to win. |
"My grace was learning about "alcohol kindling" and "alcohol PAWS." Me too D122Y, What an eye-opener, you will not see that stamped on the sied of a bottle !!! |

I know exactly how you feel. I'm on day 1...............again 😔 I have got to do this and want to be sober. I am losing my family my husband has had enough of me now. My children are worried about me and think they have just had enough aa well. They are adults and are just drifting away from me. Trouble is I think it is making my drinking worse. My husband found me asleep at 3am today with a bottle of brandy by my side. He's at work but don't know what I am going to say to him tonight when he gets home. Anxiety is through the roof at the minute worrying about it. Join the September class There is so much support here but I just feel a failure. Maybe I should post more. Good luck Sorry for the long post |
