Day 12
 

Day 12 here for me and feeling Good. Still thinking about 'the poison' from time to time but it's getting less. I'm filling my evenings with family activities which helps. Still having trouble sleeping at night and feeling so tired in the mornings but I'm sure that will pass.

Let's all beat this addiction we have. One day at a time.

Hi Berty, well done, keep it up, I'm on day 9 myself and the sleeping is a problem too!!, feel wrecked in mornings which makes going to work hard, my body might be tired but the mind not. I have been here before so know it does get better. I suffer from PAWS (post alcohol withdrawal syndrome) which is a terrible infliction, we just have to be patient, abstain and live clean with good diet and exercise, rest and higher power if you into that. At the end of the day the brain is healing and it takes time, I have cravings also but I ride them out as I know they will go in a little time. I also take thiamine and multi B vitamin to help the brain recover. Good luck and keep posting on your progress. Rgds, carlingford.

Roselover - yes we can :) Stay strong and focused. It's a hard fight but one many on here have won so we can too!!
