Wow! I've been working this for 3 and 1/2 years but this is the longest stretch i've had yet. I know it's one day at a time but i can't help but celebrate a little seeing it's the longest stretch of sobriety in 20+ years.

Cravings come and go but lately they're a little stronger. I think because i have some stress in my life which was a major contributor to my drinking (car problems). Honestly i've been a bit bored too and i started dating someone a couple of months ago which i know is kind of no-no i've heard in early sobriety but she makes me smile. She doesn't drink and i've never met anyone like her in my life so i figured it was my higher power ; )

I really enjoy waking up and feeling good and that is starting to feel like the norm. The dread of Fri/Sat soberiety has subsided which i like.

Had a bit of a craving and odd moment this evening driving by a liquor store i used to frequent. I looked at the "Enter Here" sign to Baseline Liquors and for a split second it looked like "Enter Hell"..lol. I just cracked up and kept driving.
NO THANKYOU!

Good work. I am also in my 5th month and it is getting easier, sometimes. I still try and avoid socials as much as I can. I read a lot and have a good home routine. A new way has to be found.
