Day 4

Today is day 4 and I feel pretty good. I wanted to share that yesterday, after years of wanting to do it but being to scared or shy or whatever, I went to an AA meeting. I was so nervous but it was a wonderful experience. I chose a women's meeting. Everyone was so warm and kind and welcoming it felt like this is what I've been missing all these years. I feel that this will give me the support I need that extra little push to get my act together. I am so happy that I went. I think I will go to another meeting this evening.

That's great! A meeting tonight sounds like the perfect next step. Perhaps you will want to try the recommended 90 in 90 (mtgs/days) for newcomers. Stick with the womens' group if you are most comfortable, try others if you want or it means you can fit a meeting into your schedule.

Have you joined the Class of Sep 2016 on the Newcomer's Daily Support Threads section? You will get to know folks where you are, in a smaller setting than just the bigger threads.

Good luck- hope to see you around!

Congrats on day 4 and kudos for making the "leap" outside your comfort zone to try something different. I'm glad you found the meeting to be helpful.

I'm good so far. Thanks for asking. Really busy with work for now so that's good. Friday's are usually hard for me.
