Ugh - not a fan of that place. Blurry memories of dreadful hangovers - saw that as a badge of honour at the time - "If you remember Vegas, you didn't do it right" kind of thing. But the reality, looking back, is that I spent vast sums of money to have a pretty horrible time. In fact, most of what I remember was quite boring. Well done for staying sober.
Im in Vegas 6 times a year for work and had been doing this since the 90s. Around 2009 i ended up buying a condo at a ridiculously low price to simply save on hotel costs and have a sense of comfort when i go. I can tell you that since then i have not gone to a casino or bar (off hours) for any reason as it is incredibly unappealing. Every one of my neighours and/or true workers who live there are the same. The strip is really there to cater to peoples addictions ( down to a science)
Ok guys! So today I felt better - the show I am at is pretty cool actually and I took some classes today - I felt sharp as a tack and actually socialized with other attendees.
I also laughed at lots of things and honestly enjoyed the work experience. I could never have done this day hungover or obsessing about drinking tonight. It CAN be done and it is BETTER!!!!!
I feel like Im out of the Matrix or something haha!
Final test tonight - another dinner at a steakhouse which I know has some "fine" wine - will NOT do it! Dammit this is my quiet quest and I refuse to give in!!!

Way to go! That sounds like a really rough situation. Congrats on staying strong!
Hey madgirl, look over to the right of each post and you should see a down arrow right under the time of the post. Tap that and it should pop a little box that will allow you to thank, etc.
Do you see a little bar at the bottom that has an envelope? If you tap the envelope that should show you the private message area.
Hope this helps
