Glad to meet you, Lizard. This is the best place for encouragement. Mostly, our friends & family can't possibly understand what we go through. But we have each other.
I used alcohol to cope too. Every time I was uncomfortable about anything I reached for my comforter. In the end, I never made a move without it - I was completely dependent on it to get through the day. When it was in my system I was a different person - and she was often in danger. The only way to stay safe was to stop all together. I'm so thrilled to be free of it. You can do this, Lizard.

I hope our support can help you get sober for good. SR has certainly helped me stay sober almost 7 yrs now.
