day 2 and back

Hi all , been lurking having been a non active member for ages and I've tried doing it on my own to no avail , can't remember the last time I saw a month sober , since June the binge's have become more regular having around 15- 30 units a week whilst working part time on our farm and doing alot of sports , I've hidden the drinking for the most part until on Wednesday morning I collapsed in pain having awful pain in.my right upper side , i was sent to out of hours doctors whom ran full bloods and some liver function tests , luckily the bloods came back clear amazingly but I know I'm.having a warning, my side is still tender and sore and the doctor thinks it my gallbladder inflamed or stones so I'm being sent for an ultrasound I'm frightened but know I need to do it this time

Thanks and glad to be back I'm sticking about this time as I.clearly can't cope on.my own

Charlotte xxxx

A lot of us have had that experience.

So what are you now going to do differently?

Welcome back, Charlotte!

It does seem that things get worse unless and until we stop, and we're here to help.

While just stopping the drink is a step in the right direction it can't stand on it's own. You need the tools and support that comes from working a program. Lots of options for you out there. I hope you will start thinking about it.

So do I Dee , luckily the bloods are normal but the ultrasound will tell more dreading it tbh , I'm trying to keep busy , today is Saturday so that's son day and cleaning day , I'm really wanting to do a workout but whilst still tender probably best not too, weird thing is I'm so health conscious normally and box a d swim and always make sure I eat well but when I.binge on lager I don't care , I guess I swap one obsession for another ..... I will get there , thanks guys

I got sent straight to hospital with a massive pain on my side. They did an ultrasound on my gall bladder and it came back all clear. Hopefully yours will be okay too. It turned out just to be a fatty liver.

Thankfully the pain is dissipating but I'm not going to give in and think oh a few cans won't hurt .......even if the ultrasound gets the clear I'm still trying my best to stay sober , coming on here is a huge help as I'm clearly not alone , found a tenner in the car earlier and boy I was like mmmmm that can buy 8 pint cans of fosters or three bottles cider..... I've had sweats all day but told my partner about the cash and he has now hidden it , it's got a grip on me that's for sure but I will beat it HUGS XXXX
