Day 17
I made it to day 12 last time and convinced myself all was ok.
I feel great and don't have urges until times like now when I get stressed out. When I get stressed its like a light bulb clicks on and I feel like the only thing that will cure the headache caused by the work BS is a buzz.
Life is so much better without binging and hiding. My wife is so happy and so am I. As with all things this afternoon too shall pass. It will pass with out medicating. Hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome to day 17. I am at day 15 myself with a few 4-10 day starts over the past 25 years. I have a very stressful job also, I try to visualize how I will feel in the morning when I do not drink to get me through the times I feel like it. Not that I am the poster child for quitting although this time does feel different. If you can do it so can I. Best

For me I needed to get a few new tools in the toolbox for those days when life throughs a few curve balls, and it will even in Sobriety.
The problem is if there's still only a bottle in the toolbox, instead we need to change that up!!
