2 weeks ago i was drunk...
At this exact time, 2 weeks ago, I was drunk....drunk for the very last time. The following day was my day 1. It hasn't been easy this weekend. Lots of anxiety. I honestly was kinda worried about this weekend. Last weekend wasn't difficult at all. Maybe I was in some sort of honeymoon phase or something. I dunno. But I was scared for this weekend. I made it so far. Even through an entire football game without a drink!!! Go Dawgs! I am in bed now. I just have to get through tomorrow and then the holiday on Monday. I CAN AND WILL DO THIS. One.day.at.a.time.
Early sobriety is not easy, and you should not do it alone...
Are you in any support groups ? What else are you doing to stay sober ? Not drinking is just one part of being sober, there is lots more

Hang in there Blink. I think the first few weekends are the worst, but it gets better overall. If you read around you will find a common theme from us newbies that it's a roller coaster of emotions. Maybe try reading some of the success stories. They gave me a lot of hope and strength.

Way to go blink! Just take it a minute at a time and stay positive. No negative thoughts. It really helped me to make sure I ate atleast three good meals a day. I kept a big supply of my favorite non- alcoholic beverage on hand at all times. Good luck my friend. Get back here the minute your AV starts acting up.

As for Labor Day tomorrow....My kiddos are with their Dad and luckily my boyfriend wants to lay around and watch movies. Whew. Now THAT I can handle. No cookouts or hanging by the pool to make the temptation greater.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me. I really appreciate it!
