I have no time to be bored.

I've been stress eating chocolate and I have developed a few red patches on my arms. I thought they were insect bites and the chemist gave me some lotion but I showed my dad at the weekend and he says they look like hives from eating too much junk.

I'll have to find a better way to deal with stress.

It's true! I have never worked so hard.
Not even when I was teaching and I thought that was hard.

The hives could also be from the stress Tetra. Do you still see your therapist ?

I haven't seen him for a while actually. I know he is very busy now. We have a review appointment for October and he asked me to email him once a week so he knows I'm ok.
I had to miss our monthly group meeting last week because I really had no time. But I regret not making time now.

Also how come every office has a so-called "comedian"? Our office joker asked me today "are you always so quiet or will you be chattier when you settle in?"

Telling a quiet person that they are quiet. That's going to make them feel more comfortable! I am essentially working with a group of strangers. Yes it takes me a while to feel comfortable with new people but when I do eventually settle in then I can't stop talking.

No wonder I was told to ignore most things he says.

Ok rant over.

My wife is teaching tonight, so I'm alone with the kiddos. I'm coming up empty on dinner ideas, but i don't really want to do frozen chicken nuggets or anything like that. Hrrmmm.

Yeah. I was thinking about that, but we had it last week. Problem is that my kids won't eat anything interesting. (I know, what kids do?)

I am surprised the bear guy didn't die from halitosis let alone being eaten

After all those 1980s hairstyles one more recent fashion which is fortunately on the wane is young men in pointed shoes. They look daft. Completely out of the question for me with my size 12s. Being Shoreditch's least fashionable man has its advantages

Work tomorrow, i'm never going to be able to afford to retire

RIP Gene Wilder. Blazing Saddles was just genius comedy.

Ugh. Opted for frozen lasagna. Easy, and the kids like it. Not exactly healthy. I feel like a bit of a failure as a parent.

I love Gene Wilder and was sad to see he'd died
I guess he had Alzheimer's which he didn't reveal to the public.

São, I couldn't play your clip because I'm on the quiet car on the train but I think that's one of my very favorite ever sketches. Ever. Eating cold gravel for breakfast. I'll have to watch it when I'm not in the quiet car.

HaF I'm glad you've been relieved of that stress. I'll bet it does feel like a huge weight's been lifted.

U75, you think YOU have it rough, my kids won't even touch lasagne. Don't beat yourself up about the dinner. I used to feel so guilty that I fed my son corn dogs for breakfast. But. It was something he'd eat, it was sort of a protein and it would stick with him. Otherwise he'd turn his nose at the healthy stuff I'd make and he'd have no breakfast. Or he'd eat too much cereal. Or jam and bread, nothing else.

They will hopefully figure it out at some point
