I just had a major/minor glitch in my life. A mere financial thing.
I realized that so many things really are minor. Little money troubles, family problems, etc. We make them huge.
Huge is drinking yourself to death. That's huge, Pouring thousands of dollars into booze. That's huge.
The choices we make. Huge.

I agree trach, I think I've been through about every financial high and low one could imagine. Probably took a few years off my life from the stress, but it would have been less stressful if I wasn't drinking. Booze always makes things worse.

Totally agree.
Now that I am sober, I have been able to get payment plans on all the medical bills I thought were insurmountable (and grew because I ignored the bills as they came) and can make manageable payments. I can hold a job that supports 99% of my expenses and I have started saving. This is all a far cry from the wealth I had before, but it is an even far-er cry from the depths of disaster my life was in 6 mos ago!!!
Everything is better, easier and clearer sober.

I hope things are turning out okay, Trach. Money is obviously important to a degree in the kind of world that we live in but one must have a balanced approach to it. You can't take it with you when you go, and I doubt that it's going to be the biggest regret when one is lying on one's deathbed.
A wise acquaintance of mine once said that if money can fix something it's not a problem, it's an expense. That is so true! The biggest problems usually can't be fixed by money.
