Newcomers Weekender Aug 19th - Part 2
SUID, what happened? Lawnmower stuff? Sometimes it does seem that the only luck is bad luck. You didn't hurt yourself though, right? That's a good thing.
I'm going to get ice cream although I'm thinking cheese and crackers. Maybe both.

Sao, I liked the photo.
I'm not liking that my children were using the iPad all day. The screen is smeared and sticky and gummy. And Brynn didn't want to touch library books without gloves. Ick. Maybe I should wipe the thing down.

Morning everyone
Unpleasant dream last night so I was quite relieved to be woken early by a car alarm
I have just seen some seagulls, what good flyers they are, not wasting a single erg of energy

Morning! Feeling better. Better sleep. Black Tea and then off to work. I have lots to do today. I will pace the day and get outside as much as I can. The weather is cool, sunny and low humidity. Perfect Maine late summer weather! Starting to feel very tallish this morning. Some areas in the 40's. Woot!

Good day friends.
Glad you are feeling brighter today K.
Terrible weather in this part of the British Isles: wet and miserable for my morning commute. Plus two collisions made the traffic a nightmare.
Busy day today, which i like.
Looking forward to going home to watching part 2 of The Rose of Tralee. It's my last vice!!! The stage invasion really happened - I was not hallucinating after all.

Good morning!
At work and ready to get a lot done today. I'm adulting at lunchtime and going to get my eyes checked and order new specs. It's been 4 years... my prescription is surely outdated. I'm looking forward to better vision soon!

The local grocery store recently reconfigured its layout. Expanded liquor section (go figure). They now stock the LaCroix right IN the liquor section, directly across from the discount jugs of vodka. How insensitive. I have to keep my eyes down as I scuttle in to grab my Tangerine LaCroix and scoot out.
U75, I always try to tell myself that there never is a "discount" on putting alcohol in your body when I see those bargains or temptations shopping.
Body will pay the premium price no matter what the cost at the store.
It helps to think I'm looking after my body and myself in such moments--

I'm lucky that here in my town, there is one grocery store that doesn't have liquor, and the other one has a separate section that is off in a corner and has a separate entrance to the outside. So they can close it off when liquor sales end. It's easy for me to avoid seeing liquor when I go to the grocery store. But gas stations, the drugstore, even the "natural foods store" - they all have booze prominently displayed. I mostly don't "see" it anymore. Even when I go to my favorite supper club and sit in the bar area to have a tea and socialize, I see the liquor and it just doesn't register. Usually. If it starts to look even the slightest bit interesting, I just leave. All I have to say to my friends is that it's time for me to go - they give a knowing nod and say "see you later." They know.
