Newcomer - intro on day 5
Hi everyone, I found this site because I googled how long it takes to fully recover from alcoholism, and I found a thread a few years old that was so helpful.
I've been partying with alcohol in excess for probably around 10 years. I can quit for weeks even a couple of months at a time but if I have another drink, within a week I'm back to drinking way too much, every day.
I stopped for good 5 days ago, and I have a sober accountability partner to check in with, which has helped tremendously. I'm still feeling very drained and exhausted, looking forward to waking up feeling rested!
