Newcomers Weekender Aug 19th - Part 1
OK... Living in lobster land we don't much care what the lobster thinks. That's money in the bank for us.
Lobster trivia... Who knew that there are soft shell and hard shell lobsters? Better yet can someone tell the class how you can tell the difference? Bueller....Bueller...

Soft-shell crabs have just molted and grown a new, larger shell. Their muscles have not yet grown to fill the shell, so the meat is not good to eat.
Crabs have to be chilled before they are cooked or they will freak out when you put them in the boiling water and tear themselves apart.
What about oysters? I guess they are alive when I eat them, but they sure don't move at all. It's not like a lobster, that actually screams and tries to get out of the pot.

So much Cheesiness in this 1956 Japanese Film this Promo Still Pic is from. So much time...
Prepping to permanently mount the new HD TV Antenna I ordered so that MesaMate can Multi-Task. Watch the Olympics on streaming Roku-provided coverage, or catch the Network coverage Off-Air. Killer Picture from this compact Moku 60 Antenna; due to sitting up here on a Mesa with line-of-sight to TV Transmitters I didn't even know where out there. A nifty Site Survey on line pinpoints Sig Strength & Compass Headings for this Address. This Antenna picks up anything from anywhere. No Antenna pointing req'd.
First, gotta let this live Version of 'Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys' finish that's now on the Radio.

May I please get on the bus? I LOVE lobster. And crab.... And shrimp... And oysters... Think I was meant to live by the sea! Anyway...
I am new(ish) to sobriety. 11 days today. (1:50pm Thursday in Atlanta). Not really new to SR although I have been gone for a long time. I imagine my last post was somewhere around 2008 but I'm not sure, and it was under another username. So glad to have found you all again. What they say is true--it gets worse every time you go back out. When I stopped drinking last time I was a horrible binge drinker who could manage to stay sober at least a day or two at a time. This time I got to the point where I was drinking a minimum of 8 beers everyday. Most days it was more like 20-25 beers plus multiple shots at the bar. I'm really surprised I'm still alive.
No major plans for the weekend except to not pick up no matter what. Other than that, maybe some yard work, coloring, binge-watching Netflix, and quality time with my honey. And coming here of course! Doubt I'll be able to keep up with y'all but I'll throw in my two cents periodically. Love reading what y'all post!!
