Talking to family

So I just had an unexpected and very interesting experience.

I called my dad (who lives in a different country), and told him I realised I have a drinking problem and am doing something about it.

Not only he was supportive, he said he went through something very similar after I was born. We talked about it for a while and realised he drank for similar reasons to the ones I drink now, he even gave me useful advice!

Funny how once you open up to things you get these unexpected surprises.

Yet another boost for recovering.

Thanks SR!

Awe that's awesome! I'm so glad you have your fathers support. None of us are alone in this battle, that's for sure!
