12 days in.
I quit drinking alcohol 12 days ago. To me, it feels longer. I have had loss of appetite, with the exception of craving truck loads of sweets (ice cream, muffins, donuts). Is this normal? I give in to the cravings because it's better than the booze..
The feeling of knowing I'm no longer going to wake up laid-out somewhere in the corner of a room in a puddle of my own urine is one that I cannot describe. It's euphoric in itself. The only way for me is without alcohol.
I just wanted to let everyone know.
Have a good Sunday everyone!

Great job on 12 days!! I bought myself ghiardhelli dark chocolate with sea salt and caramel the first few weeks. I told the kids and my husband that it was mine!! I would have one, sometimes two every night.
Congrats on 12 days! You are not alone with the sweets, ice cream seems to be the SR favorite.
Be kind to yourself right now and allow it. Plenty of time to back off from the sweets down the road.
Your pants will usually give you a hint when it's time to stop. At least that was what happened with me

12 days - how fabulous, ZeroN. It'll continue to get better. The sweets thing - I had uncontrollable cravings for the first few months. I just went with it. Gradually it calmed down - except I still want ice cream.
Happy to have you with us - you're doing great.
