If nothing changes, then nothing changes.

What changes are you willing to make?

SR is a great place for support, but there are also face to face options, try things out and see what works.

There's nothing to loose but instead your whole life to gain!!
Thanks.
Please can you tell me what the face to face options are?

Kaily - I attend AA a couple of times a week and I highly recommend it. Without my face to face time spent with fellow alcoholics I am not sure if I could have stayed sober (I've been sober now for 3.5 years, but it took a bit of time to get there!). There are tons of meetings in London and so getting yourself to a meeting - any meeting - is one sure-fire way of getting face to face support. The only way to find out if this will help you is to 'suck it and see' i.e. go to a meeting. If you need someone to take you, then phone the helpline and ask for someone to do this and someone will

My lifelines are here at SoberRecovery and face to face at AA.

I wish I had some majic words that would make you feel better, but all I can say is that I totally understand what your going through. I don't think many people really understand what being totally alone feels like. Like you, I have no friends or family where I live. I can sit around and drink every day and nobody would know or care. This might sound strange, but having no commitments means you have total control over your life. You have the power to recreate your life. You are not limited based on personal obligations that others have.
I'd suggest making a to do list of things you want to do then make yourself do them. Get out of the box your in and try new things. Going to AA might help. I spend a lot of time at the gym. I'm always checking out what's going on where I live. Doing these things alone isn't easy, but it beats sitting home with a bottle of vodka. Good luck. John
