Focusing on the positive changes

Bought a young mothers coffee this morning. Child on one arm, coffee and purse digging for money or her debit card with the other. I wasn't surprised by what I did really more surprised that I noticed her struggling. Usually to absorbed by my blurry eyed hangovers at that time in the morning to notice anything. Sobriety is pretty cool.

That was a really nice thing to do...digging in your purse while holding children should be an Olympic event! I'm sure she appreciated it.

What a kind gesture! I, too, have been much more aware of my surroundings and other people, not absorbed in recovering from a hangover. It's nice.

Love it! It feels good to us (Which it should) to do things for others (which feels good to them). Win/win!

The part about realizing something's going on that you could affect is indeed a great side effect of being sober.
