vacation

Hi everyone, I am leaving for a beach vacation with my kids tomorrow and I am very worried I will give in and start drinking. I have 60 plus days of sobriety and have not had any major cravings, but the beach is ahuge trigger for me.
My plan is to check in here daily, walk, write in my journal and stay active doing things with the kids. I have also stocked up on things I like to drink so I wont have to get bored drinking water.
Any words of wisdom out there? Thank in advance. This site has been my inspiration!!! Hope everyone is having a great sober summer.

at 60 days my sponsor would have never allowed me to go to any slippery/ trigger places

a thought/ choice/ action of me being unwilling to stay sober

I probably needed to focus on step 1

this is a serious and fatal disease

God bless

Don't try to convince yourself that you can moderate your drinking.

Enjoy your holiday and think about the gift you have spending time with your kids, sober. Its a great opportunity to rebuild bridges and start afresh.

A drink just isn't worth it.
Use us when you need us, ok?
