It's the little things like ... (Fill in the blanks)
It's the little things like ... (Finish the sentence with your example)
It's the little things like looking forward to making coffee when I wake up and savouring the alert mind I have as I swallow it down. (Instead of drinking in the morning.)
It's the little things like having my laundry clean, put away, and accounted for.
It's the little things like watching tv or a movie and remembering what I've watched.
It's the little things like packing my lunch and getting to work by 8:30.

These aren't "little things" so much--I'm not quibbling with your title, just mentioning that for me, this is a new life.
1. Being able to sleep for more than 45 minutes without needing alcohol to calm my nervous system down.
2. Getting up in the morning and not hitting the bottle.
3. Being able to stand relatively close to people without worrying about them smelling the vodka.
4. Not being able not to drive due to drinking.
5. Opening mail (it's still all bad news), but at least I'm on top of it.
6. Organizing.

It is the little things like getting up, feeling excellent, brushing my teeth and hair and smiling in the mirror as I smell the coffee brewing and being happy with this version of me. The really me. LOVE IT!

Aw everybody has covered all the little things that I like too
So I'll go with, it's the little things like waking up (not "coming to") in my bed, instead of on the living room floor or draped half off the couch

1. Being able to brush my teeth without gagging.
2. Getting a good night's sleep.
3. Being able to eat!
4. Not feeling so sick all the time.
5. Being able to show up to life - go to the beach, go to the movies, have dinner, walk with friends.
6. Not being a slave to alcohol.

"They" say that your skin starts looking better after awhile. It's been about six weeks for me now. Looked in the mirror this morning and I'll be darned, some of those busted capillaries have gone away. This is one of those little things that keeps you going, I'd say.

Yes!!
- And having my stomach issues magically disappear - I thought I'd never eat normally again, due to so many food sensitivities. Which were pretty much all caused by the poison (alcohol), unbeknownst to me, until I quit.
- Being able to drive anywhere I want, at any time of the day, because I'm always sober.
- Having money to spend on things I couldn't afford while drinking.
- Paying my bills on time.
- Never having to wonder what I said or did or who I might have insulted.
I could go on and on. These are not little things. They are HUGE.
