Nope, they are good for you, as far as Ive read anyway Although I'm not too keen on the greasiness of the tuna in sunflower oil, vegtable oils are not good for you (according to the health sites I read anyway) And I always rinse the tuna in brine before I use it
Sorry to say but quitting sugar had the opposite effect on me - my alcohol cravings returned. I did 30 days of Whole30 The Whole30® Program - As featured in the New York Times bestselling book, The Whole30 in early spring (no alcohol, no sugar, no grains, no dairy, no processed anything) and I felt terrible. My stomach got all messed up and my AV came back strongly.
So I think the effects may vary from person to person.

I've had to cut back on cheese upon instruction ...4oz a week! Thats a titchy amount!
I'll never give up eggs. But funny you should mention almond milk, just bought some yesterday, but I haven't tasted it yet. I bought it for my porridge and weetabix.
I have lactose intolerance, cheese sets me off, but not if its cooked cheese for some strange reason! It used to be worse than it is now, and only came on when I was 30 when I had my daughter the cheese one that is, the milk one, Ive had that since I was a kid, and still can't drink great amounts of it.
I must admit, my stomach and digestion in general has improved greatly since I started drinking broccolli sprout green smoothies.

This thread has really made me think about what I'm putting into my mouth prior to doing it. Lol. I ate pretty well and my sugar consumption was below normal yesterday. I woke up this am pretty clear headed. I'm going to start Being more conscious to food intake and cravings.
I think we forget that food is supposed to be fuel and have somewhat turned it into a pleasure center. Nothing wrong with enjoying what you eat but..,,.
I did an ultra low carb diet for three months and never got off track. I had company so I made a pot roast with mashed potatoes and baby carrots. I figured there was no harm in having 1/2 cup of the potatoes. About 1/2 hour after eating them I wanted to sleep. I felt exhausted. I felt first hand what happens to carbs in your body when not used. They turn to sugar and then you crash.
