Well, Sober Day 365 Has Arrived... On to Year Two!
Hi Everyone,
Today is one year sober, and I couldn't be happier!
Well, I mean I could - but nice and easy, and that"one day at a time" mantra really seems to have clicked with me this time around.
I still have bad days here and there, I still feel anxious from time to time, and my AV will always be hanging around - but I've learned that it's up to me to keep it in check. Life happens, and I need to take it all on SOBER.....good or bad....highs and lows.
Also what I've realized this past year is that quitting drinking has made me feel better, but as they say in the rooms of AA - Drinking is a dangerous SYMPTOM, meaning I've probably always had underlying issues, but now it's much easier to address them head on, with a clear mind - free of pollution.
I continue to read SR everyday, as it has helped me immensely.
Thanks and much love to all of you.
Dylan
