Been in this position more times than I care to think about lunar.

We pick ourselves up and keep trying!

Proud of you, lunar. I'm not sure I'd have been as honest. Most of us have had the same thing happen. Happy you came back & wanted to tell what happened.

one. day. at. a. time. It all adds up. Tweak your plan if you need to.

You can do this.

Lunar, thanks for your honesty, and you should know there's no judgment from this crowd. We've all been there. This is the hardest thing you've ever had to do in your life. You're gonna get knocked down a few times. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off and keep fighting the fight. We're behind you.

You say you need to change, but do you want to change? To move forward in sobriety I first had to come to the conclusion that I could not drink like other people. There are some people who can have just a few, but I am not one of those people. Yo go back to drinking would mean absolute failure the same way I have always done. Once I could admit this actually taking a drink seemed like a crazy idea. I wasn't going to fight a losing battle. You can do it too.

Don't give up the good fight.

Sounds like you are sick and tired of yourself.
A good starting point for the drunk.

Good luck,
Bob

Day one is the most important day. No matter where you are, day one can start at 9pm, time is relative. What is important is that you don't allow this to consume you, you reach out to your support and find people who will help get you back up on your feet.

Forward march into day three tomorrow; YAY!..............
due only to your endless support, wisdom, thoughts and gratitude.

I am very, very fortunate to have an SR family.

Tangent----
Every now and then, I go through the members list and hardly
recognize 95% of them. I've gone so far as to look for their last "sign -on"
Most are from 10 + years ago.
I pray they moved onward, into a positive atmosphere: and are not lost in the dark
place which some us all so know well. TOO Well.

Whether you believe in the bible or not; and this (ain't a passing fancy)
My favorite verse is:

Proverbs 23:19-35

Who has woe? Who has sorrow?

Who has strife? Who has complaints?

Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?

Those who linger over wine,

those who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.

Do not gaze at wine when it is red,

when it sparkles in the cup,

when it goes down smoothly!

In the end it bites like a snake

and poisons like a viper.

Your eyes will see strange sights,

and your mind will imagine confusing things.

You will be like one sleeping on the high seas,

lying on top of the rigging.

“They hit me,” you will say, “but I’m not hurt!

They beat me, but I don’t feel it!

When will I wake up

so I can find another drink?”

Don't beat yourself up, it won't help.
You made a mistake as we all have.
I relapsed after year six months I thought I was fixed, and ready to drink again I was wrong.
Let's get back on the horse and ride this thing out together!
