It will - so long s you stop drinking and stay that way. That really has to be the first step CapitalJ.

Do you have a recovery plan for the rest of the weekend?

But it will stop eventually! you can do this, and then you won't have to deal with this pain anymore. Can you go to the ER for some help!?

I'm on day one too. The ER can give you meds to ease the pain, and maybe an IV if you're dehydrated. Call a friend to take you! Good luck.

CapitalJ, I'd say do whatever is necessary for you to get and stay sober. If rehab is an option for you, do it. If you're going through bad withdrawals, get to the hospital. Please let us know how you're doing.

If you feel unwell or concerned CapitalJ please do go to the ER or at least call someone to sit with you.

I made it through the night but feel absolutely terrible! Everything is a mess again but I'm definitely not drinking today! The shame, guilt, embarrassment and depression hitting me pretty hard

That's pretty normal ( the shame and guilt ) for this stage of WD unfortunately. Have you considered meetings, rehab or a counselor to help you through it?

CJ

I'm glad you're starting to feel better.

But that concerns me.

I obviously don't you know you personally, but it sounds like you've been through this drill before (I.e withdrawals). My guess is that you nursed yourself back to feeling "normal" and then, Bam! You start using again.

I'm sending you this message now as a wake call to take action and start recovering now. Because I fear that if you don't, you'll end up right back to where you are now. And how many more cycles do you have in you?

Sending you all my support and best wishes for taking the next step out of the madness.

Please take the word "probably" out of the sentence above. Take action now. You can do this!
