Mental fitness
Tomorrow will be another test. I am three months sober now and have mostly avoided social interaction in the form of parties. It was just easier.
Our bridge club has a social tomorrow. Four hours social bridge where eveyone will imbibe royally and then a barbeque where most will get pissed. I was always way ahead in the getting sozzled department at all bridge socials.
But no more. I have prepared myself mentally all week to handle tomorrow. I know it will be difficult, but I will not drink.
I never want to lose the magnitude of benefits sobriety brought me these past three months. This is the rest of my life, and it is good.

While I agree that socializing when in early sobriety can be done...have an escape plan.
Don't rely on others for a ride, and make sure you are ready with your replies to the questions..."Oh, just ONE, c'mon on, you don't have a problem. One won't hurt!" "What a killjoy! Just have one, come on." "Why aren't you drinking?"
I say I have to, "Meet someone," or, "I have plans later," when I'm getting tired of the drunks at parties - or even if I'm just ready to go. It's not a lie, and there isn't much arguing with this approach. I will meet someone someday, I do have plans. My plans may be to sit on the couch in my pajamas binge-watching Greys Anatomy, but they're plans!

Make sure there is plenty of whatever non alcoholic drink you like available
I have no idea how to play bridge but if you are sober whilst everyone else is imbibing you should score pretty well
Good luck Darwinia
