Cutting off "friends".
My DOC was heroin and therefore when I decided to get sober I literally cut out EVERYONE that I knew. I never even bothered trying to explain to them why we could no longer be "friends". I am slowly finding new friends that do not do drugs and I rely on my family a lot for emotional support.
Have you thought about going to an AA meetings and making some sober friends that are in recovery? If you belong to a church or you volunteer they are also good places to connect with others and not feel so isolated.
Things will start to fall in place as long as you continue to work on your recovery. It might not happen as fast as you would like it, but it will happen. Maybe you can use this time to redefine who you are without alcohol in the equation, work on your recovery plan, and find new interests to occupy your time.
You can do this!
