Phew, caught up. Every time I sat down to catch up today I got called away after five minutes.

Will be leaving tomorrow morning at 8 am for a business trip, so had to fit a whole weekend into today. Hard bike ride up into the hills this morning was beautiful. Hot and humid, but it looked like the Scottish highlands out there with the fog rolling through the hollows and the verdant hills poking up out of the mist.

Then a shower, coffee and muffins, cleaned the bathrooms (good lord did they need it), straightened the kids' messes for a while, did some other odds and ends, tons of laundry, and then out to the pool for a few hours with the kiddos. Just enjoyed some root beer floats and now making dinner for the kids before the wife and I go see Star Trek tonight. Just a fine day all around.

Hope all is well with everyone. I'm sure I'll have another 100 posts to read later tonight!

Kiddos' delight: chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks and some fresh veggies!

We went the whole nine yards last night when the neighbors came over for dinner. Made burgers on the grill (salt, pepper, little bit of seasoned salt), and the wife made homemade baked beans (delicious). Fried up some bacon and had all the fixings for the burgers. Fresh potato salad, capreze (sp?) salad, watermelon slices, veggies. Wife made a custard filled cake which was beautiful and sugar coma inducing.

Omg!!! Yuuuum!
I've never made homemade baked beans- but my friend did recently and they were amazing.
I might have to add that into my little cooking world
