A Night of Hope

The 2nd weekend of August is my family's annual lake trip which is all about the booze booze booze. Being so new in sobriety I am a tad bit nervous. Last year I actually made it thru the whole weekend on my sparkling water and it wasn't terrible but I was on edge. I went back to drinking a few weeks after that trip. So all this week I have been thinking should I go, should I not go? Anyways, I was on Facebook and my friend had liked a page that caught my eye. "A Night of Hope." I looked it up and in my hometown the day I would leave for the lake they are having a conference type with positive music, speakers on addiction and plans for recovery. I sighed and knew exactly where I will be that evening! I had never seen something like that before and I took it as a sign. Hope everyone is well today!

Oh, that is definitely a sign and it sounds like a wonderful way to spend a weekend.
