I tied myself in knots trying to figure how I could keep drinking in my life too.

I read through every one of your 43 posts again - I recommend you do it too.

If boredom is keeping you drinking, like you say pretty frequently it is, wouldn't a better solution here be not to be bored?

Are you still looking for a job? Have you thought of volunteering? It gets you out of the house, keeps you busy and I believe it can count towards centrelink requirements as well.

You said pretty recently that drinking was making you ill. Why would you want to keep something that's making you ill in your life?

D

I am not an expert but I can tell you if you want to change you have to be willing to be uncomfortable. It does get better. I am on day 31.

So you went from a post entitled "How can i quit?" to posting I'm going to try and cut down.

So you plan to drink. That's not how you quit.

You drink so much that you throw up, and then, you start drinking strait after until you feel tired. Well that's the stage I'm up to right now

youre gonna be back there, and worse, with the method your going to TRY.

haven't had a beer since last night and i think i just remembered why i gave up a few tries ago. I get tinnitus bad when i try and quit. I get it even when im drinking but not as bad. I did see my doctor about it a while ago and the hospital sent me a letter saying they will contact me within 12-24 months. How do i make the tinnitus more bearable?

I have tinnitus too. You might want to see an ENT doctor if you can. Mine is very much stress/anxiety related so doing things to help with those 2 problems helps with the tinnitus as well.

Definitely don't use it as an excuse to keep drinking though.

It is scary - I can hear my heartbeat in my ears all day long, every day if I pay attention to it. Fortunately there are ways to not pay attention to it!
