7 days today. Small milestone.

Well I've been sober 7 days today, 8 days ago i had my last drink. It's the first time I've done that with this mindset, every other time it's been because I'm "taking a break" rather than choosing not to drink indefinitely. I'd like to thanks everyone here for their continued support.
Here's to another 7

It's all about mindset, isn't it? As soon as you tell yourself that drinking isn't an option anymore, that's when change can occur. I know it did for me. And I had to ask myself one question: What do I do now?

The answer: create a plan. Arm yourself with activities and changes in your behavior to fight the temptation of lifting the bottle. Because, if you're like me, it will happen. When you're feeling better. You might even rationalize that you deserve it. Or can control it. All lies. Remember that and stick with the plan.

Good for you! Being alcohol free is going to give you back your life. Are you getting any sleep yet?

7 days is huge, 8 days is huge...each day we all make the choice to do something different something better than pick up the drink is a big deal. I'm very excited for you! Nothing is small here!

Adopting the "Alcohol is never an option" philosophy was the first big milestone.

Congrats on day seven. You are on your way.
