Just a note. Jon is no longer the owner of the site. I don't know what year, but a company bought SR (Internet Brands) and has kept SR running and free since its acquisition.

I am grateful to be part of this community.

It is interesting that nobody answered my question.

Sorry - I didn't know Jon Heller and don't know why he left - presumably to do other things, find new challenges?

Maybe the bloke just wanted less stress - It must have been a mammoth job to run this place, even back then.

I was here when Jon left and he simply decided to move on. SR had grown an enormous amount from its humble beginnings. I think Jon continues to work in the recovery business. There's no big mystery.

I think members who move on from SR, whoever they are, are entitled to their privacy guys.

I know I value my privacy very much. Its not reasonable that people here would want to know any more about me that I've made public myself.

Same goes for everyone else.

Thanks for posting this information.

I'm privileged to have been an active part of it for the last 7 or so years.

I'm still an active AA member, but SR has also helped my sobriety a lot.

And I've gotten to spend so much time with all of you wonderful people.
