I'm in the middle of "Under the Dome" right now. Not my favorite. I really liked "11/22/63," though. Read "The Stand" in 1991 while I was pregnant with my daughter on bed rest. I think I read it in about 3 days also.

Yes you sure can freeze roux, Brainalaney! You got a food seal saver thingie? Even better! Make your roux ice cubes and then seal them up

I'm off to do a stage at a new restaurant. 4 hours of free kitchen work to see if we like each other. It's upscale tacos. That's a thing. And definitely a good thing to put on my resume bc it's a growing business. Second location open this week, third in the works. All that can spell director of culinary operations there at some point or for my next gig. Mama's tired of standing in the kitchen all day, every shift

Hmmm.

I'm more excited about the grocery shopping I'm doing after. My cupboards are so bare. If I told you guys how much fast food I've been eating, ugh! It tastes good a couple times a year but not several days in a row.

No biggie, back on track today

I'm excited to see how these iron pills work out. Getting this anemia under control will be a life changer. I wish I could get all my nutrients from food but that's not in the cards for me right now.

Xoxo

Fed the Blatica dubia colony
a whole nectarine and orange,
early this morning.
By now, they should be acting like fruit piranha.
LOL.

Well I was out for my morning walk and my dogs decided to lunge after another dog that was approaching us. They pulled me off my feet and I went flying. I scraped up my leg pretty bad and had to come right home to clean it. I'll survive bUT it stings. I was annoyed with the people who didn't give me a chance to get off the trail.

In the spirit of ramblin and in memory of Led Wed, (any excuse to post "Ramble On.")..."Ramble On" starts at 3:10. They are my generation, but why do I feel like Page and Plant have aged both well and badly? Hard life, that rockstar richness

Even I am thankful Plant didn't wear his signature tight jeans, tho.

Right?!? Some things can be relied upon...like Robert Plant's hair.

HAF, dog encounters like that are stressful. I definitely feel your pain! Hope your scrapes heal quickly. I'm guessing you used peroxide...

Good morning everyone.

Congrats SoberWolf! Three years is great.

Late start here this morning. I think one of the worst ways to wake up is to have someone being all negative. I don't want to hear it, it doesn't involve me so leave me out of it.
Thank you for letting me vent. Woosaa!

Have a great day all.

Hey guys. I've never really been a part of one of these "weekender" threads - can somebody tell me how they work??

This weekend I will be approaching a week sober (last drink was Sunday) and I'm going on my first motorcycle trip. Nervous and excited.... nervous that I will crash or it will rain - excited because it's a new experience and it should be fun! Also nervous because one of the guys I'm going with does drink and I will be around alcohol - but he knows I'm in recovery so I feel like I have a safeguard in place... and I already warned him I may need to leave the birthday party we're attending go to a meeting - so that's cool.

Ummmmmm also - how the heck do I put pictures in this thread? That looks fun. I already have a cool one from this morning!
