Can you take a nice shower / bath, listen to some soothing music, light a scented candle? Just a few ideas to distract and soothe yourself.

When it gets real bad for me I read the "stories of recovery forumn" it helps me greatly. The urge will go away . Be strong and laugh at it. You can do it

Hi 🙂 What kinds of things do you like to do besides drink?
I love reading and finding cool movies or documentaries, and recently started listening to podcasts - Marc Maron WTF 🙂

If it's safe for you to exercise? A walk always helps me. I love cardio now.

Well it's rainy here tonight but I have an appointment with my nutritionist in half an hour that I have to leave for shortly! Hmmm what else do I like to do? Well I watch Netflix... and ride my bike (weather permitting).... Seems to all get pretty monotonous sometimes though.

I agree - for me, a routine can feel monotonous - that is when I need to get creative and expand my life, not drink to shut off my brain 🙂

It went well SL! Lost some weight - although I'm not sure how exactly.... my "detox" days I usually stuff my face with horrible greasy food trying desperately to make sure I feel better - so what the heck! Anyways - I'm gearing down for the night so I'm pretty confident I made it through another day. Did have some wicked cravings and negative thoughts today but I seemed to combat them alright. How was YOUR day!??

So glad that you made it through the day, MNL!!!!!

My day was good, thanks; went to the gym and did some light weight-lifting; hope to be able to increase the weights soon. This evening, I went to an outdoor concert which was so much fun and very lively, too. People watching was entertaining, too - lots of very cute children dancing and having a blast.
