Mike's Accountability Thread
Thanks everyone and yes I do have some things in my arsenal. For instance, last night, I made sure to stay full until the moment I went to sleep as I know hunger can lead to craving a drink. I had pizza and ice cream for dinner lol. And then housed a bag of popcorn shortly before bed. I also stayed out of the room I normally drink in and sat in another room with a book and my iPad close by so I could come on here if I started to feel any urges.
Having some fleeting urges to drink tonight but I am doing my best to quiet them. Just ate dinner and am now watching a movie and eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's.
I am standing by my decision that drinking is NOT an option, no matter what.

Whatever works, Mike!!!! You can worry about your diet later; you won't feel the need to devour an entire container of ice cream forever - I promise.

Weekend is here, so have a plan in place. If you get through this weekend, by next the physical withdrawals will be gone and you'll be gold with continuing effort on the "I want" side of things. My first Saturday night was a lot of "Well what do I do now?"
Thanks so much my friends!
WW I am very fortunate to not suffer from physical withdrawal symptoms. Which makes it all the more critical to me to stop now before I get to that point making it even harder. This weekend I plan to keep doing what I'm doing. Keeping my hunger satisfied to help quell cravings and post in my thread every morning or whenever the urge to drink strikes. Also been spending more time outside in my free time to stay out of the house and connect with nature a little bit.
All in all I am feeling good!
