Hello,

I am a new member to this site. I welcome any advice on how to best utilize the information here. I'm looking forward to recovery....today is my first day sober.

Welcome! I found this site to be super helpful in my recovery journey; so glad you found it too! I suggest surfing around on the various forums to see various types of information and what relates to you. I hang out most of the time on the Newcomer forum. I also suggest checking in on the Weekend thread that generally starts on Thursdays....great people and great weekend support!

Welcome Misty. As others have said, read around. Your story is here, somewhere, probably told a number of times.

I always recommend that if you are going to use the site as part of your recovery, use it. Read, post, vent, ask questions.
