Scared I've lost him..
 

I'm new & don't really know what I'm doing.. My long time live in alcoholic bf left abruptly recently..& I'm a wreck. We are best friends and had so many future plans... I'm trying to step back & give him space , so he can figure things out and fight his demons.. In meantime I'm left wondering .. What do I do.. Where is my place? I love him enough to know he needs to do this & am 100% on board, but am scared in the background too.. Not sure when I'll hear from him, how he is.. Advice? Suggestions ?

sorry for your hurt; yes, alcohol is a whirlpool.

my best suggestion is to make some connections in the friends and families forum farther down, where many participate who know what you're going through, what the struggles arte and good ways of not only surviving but improving your own life.
