The Rhythm of the Weekender July 8th Part 2
I'm still outside working at 9 o'clock... finally missus asks me if she should make dinner... only if you want to eat of course... after a nice shower we dined outside
got a lot done today... ready to roll into phase II... oh, and yes, I AM going to stain the wood ponderosa green it's a transparent stain... of course that doesn't make sense -- semi-transparent?
translucent? whatever -- you see the wood grain but it's like wearing green glasses
g'nite,
Js, the only mistake I'm concerned about is you rushing into marriage...
get one of those no fault weddings... wish the best whatever you decide...
but if you get married in Alabama, you'll need to dress like this

I just can't imagine why this Meme below popped into my Head...
Trach, I been looking at what the Trade calls 'Over The Air' [OTA] HD Antennas. Lots of them for well under $50- at Amazon. I need one with a Rotor, since we can pick among 3 Towns. Some Signals will be OK. Some will suck. I read the Reviews like the next Guy, despite being Mister Ex-Ham Radio Geekazoid. I need ~100 Miles out capability as back up.
In related News, the Video Quality via Roku kicks A vs. Dish Network. Very happy with that cutover...
Finally got all the Guano put away today in the Heat from when we sold our Mountain House. Stored away the Utility Trailer. Got the RV Trailer all primed, and ready to go. This took all day.
Very kewl Stories, CF. Livin' La Vida Loca.
Too funny of a Pic, Sao. Steampunk Hearing Aid.
I read an Ex-Car Salesman Book eons ago. Go in at the end of the Month. Ideally, January. Or, December, as mentioned. Weeknight. About 7 PM. Eat Dinner first. Take a Key Copy, and a Trade In Car Title Copy so they can't retain those items to trap you there. MSN Auto is a superb Website to know exactly what the Dealer paid. Also, when you look there at their Invoice vs. Sticker, consistent Markup Percentages keep showing up. Like, 15%. You can apply that same Margin to an Options Package seen on the Sticker, and still deduce what they paid. About 8:30 PM, they get serious, and want to close you to get Home. The Psychology is to completely upend the Power, and have it. Work 'em like a Fish, and make them invest time in you. Not be hungry. Not be trapped. Have the Down Payment in hand. All Business. All The Time.
On my Truck, I saw the actual Invoice after a few Hours. I knew it was real because it had the 'A Plan' Discount at the bottom for Ford Employees only. Write the Deal on Paper so that Finance, or the Closer, won't change things. I've had that happen. I think List was $34k. I paid $28k. I needed something for Towing. Very happy.

Thanks for the car shopping tips Mesa. You did well. I bought mine used at a no haggle place. I don't think I'll do that again because I think they charge too much. I paid a premium for not haggling. Whatever
