8,640 minutes!

OK so thats six days but some times the next minute was the most important one! I have not been this long without booze since November 1999, before that it was 1992. When I feel thin and stretched I come to this site and read the threads and stories etc which help keep me focused, so thanks everybody. Looking forward to 10,080 minutes, 7days.

Way to go icecream pete! You own the key now and every day, every hour, every minute it still works to unlock the door. Positive thinking makes positive things happen and your recovery is the most positive thing you could possibly be doing in your life right at this very minute. Even when things are looking not so good in other areas, I always come back to "Yes, but all these things have happened today and I am STILL sober," and then I remember that every day that I get to bed and the bed is not spinning is a good day for me because I'm an alcoholic. Of course, I want more than that but some days my sobriety is all I have and every day that is enough for me to be grateful for because without it I'm lost.
