Still going strong :)

Hi all

Not posted on here for a week or so, but I've been lurking in the background.

I'm doing a 12 week intensive program at the moment so that's kind of taken up all of my time at the moment which I guess is a good thing! Made new friends and found a lot of support, which again can only be positive.

15 days without a drink now, and I feel really good physically and I'm feeling stronger each day psychologically. I had a meeting with my key worker today and she said she didn't recognise me, and couldn't get over how much better I looked than when she saw me 2 weeks ago. Just goes to show - people DO notice, and she didn't even know I was doing the 12 week program!

Anyway, just touching base and I hope everyone is going strong, keeping busy and finding help where and when they need it.

Take care all!
:D

Awesome work! I can relate, I'm on day 19 and feeling quietly optimistic this time. Trying not to give into feelings of ecstasy though as I know that can be dangerous. Here's to another day sober and happy!

It's great to hear that you are doing so well, airyfairy.

Sobriety and recovery get better and better; stick with them!!!!

Thanks everyone!
I feel a lot calmer and more positive in myself. I believe I can do this because I WANT to. No other reason. So for now I just take each day as it comes and in all honesty thoughts of drinking for now have rarely entered my head and if they have, I've got coping strategies at hand to deal with those situations.
Hope everyone is doing well and feeling happy. Looking forward to checking in at the end of the week when it'll be 3 weeks which is a massive deal for me.
Take care!
Airy :) x

Waiting

Been waiting for 5 hrs in a town I'm not from to ride a bus home thank goodness I'm sober I'm not even mad and I'm next door to a bar so I ran in to the gas station to get a pepsi and a protein bar. I love being able to think logically. I feel so at peace!

Hey all - woohoo 21 days sober :D

Sorry I've not been around much - been so busy cramming stuff into my day that I've not had much time to go online.

Hope you're all well! :)
