Starting from zero again.
I relapsed and need help. I can't do this alone. I know that my low self esteem is a major reason why I drink and fall into this vicious cycle. I probably could use some al anon too. I am going to list what I'm grateful for (in that thread) which helps. I need to give myself a break and stop the trauma of reliving my negatives. Anyway I am glad to be here. I feel like such a loser. I just watched "Everything's got to Go" and for me that's the old life I was leading. So for today I'm taking care of me.
Bo: Yes. Give yourself some time away from the self-recrimination, and focus on your immediate needs. Recovery. Rest. Healthy nourishment. There will be time to deal with your challenges, but right now your goal is to stay sober minute by minute, and to get through these challenging first few days. SR is a wonderful resource, and we're all here pulling for you.
Welcome back, BoPuppy.

Sorry to hear, and we know its rough. But you ARE starting again, some people don't get that chance because they are in the morgue. Reach out to the people here with long term sobriety, they are smart and have succeeded. They can help you with a plan.
Welcoem back Bo Puppy...for me my self esteem issues started getting better when I quit the booze for good.
Having to deal with life showed me I really was more capable than I thought - and the things I achieved help me realise that maybe I wasn't such a bad guy loser after all
do you have a plan to help you stay sober this time?
