I had almost 4 months. What a brutal last few days. I have to get going again, I can't continue on like this. It never gets any better.

Four months is fantastic bluedog, I am sure you are gutted right now but if you take all the positives from your four months and maybe add a couple of tweaks to your plan i'm sure you will succeed

I'm sorry you're struggling, Bluedog. No, it doesn't ever get any better, not until we stop drinking and then things change for the better.

I'm coming off a relapse too and it does seem to break you worse and worse each time. No matter how much you want to drink today, if you do, please just don't. One day at a time. Just sending good wishes your way- I know how you are feeling right now; you're not alone.

You're definitely not alone, Bulldog....don't drink just for today. You certainly had more clean time than I did so you know you can do it. Like Saoutchik said, a few tweaks to the plan will be a step in the right direction.

When you're in the grip of alcohol, the future looks bleak. Things do change for the better, once sober. Do you have enough support for your plan to get sober?

Welcome back bluedog. What can we do to help you get back on track?

Sorry to hear about your relapse, bluedog, I am in the same boat. I had five great months where my plan was really working, and then I let my guard down once and have been in a vicious self-destructive cycle for the last four and a half weeks! But I am encouraged that we can stop the tailspin and get back on the right track.

Sorry to hear it Bluedog, but thanks for your honest share. It reminds all of us that we need to stay on top of our recovery. Forgive yourself the slip and start over. Four months is great and sometimes it takes more than one try.

I have fantastic news for you;

MANY incredible journeys of sobriety began with a relapse.

Journey on.
