Holiday Fun, knockin' 'em back.
Knockin' back the miles - tomorrow morning on a trail run.
Knockin' back the laughs - hanging out with friends on the beach this weekend.
Knockin' back the memories - because I'll actually REMEMBER them.
Knockin' back the smiles - with my family, present and aware.
Knockin' back some photos - fireworks and staycation experiences with a week off.
Knockin' back some tasty grub - I'll prepare for the family or out at a few good local restaurants.
Knockin' back the days, the hours, the moments together this summer as my little girls grow before my eyes and my stepson inches lightning-quick toward adulthood and my Lady and I walk this journey together..... and all of it with a clear head and a clear conscience because I'm not a drunk, not all spaced out, not in jail or prison or.... dead.
See - your holiday fun, knockin' 'em back doesn't end when you choose sobriety.
It just begins.
