My counselor would always say to keep hard candy around for cravings. Alcohol is converted to sugar in the body so your body craves that sugar it is used to.
Don't over do it though.

My puppy-gif is a Little Red Courgette.

It was accidental, but then most serendipity is.

I'd like to join this weekends ride guys! Thanks for the thread mecanix and great to see some familiar faces!

In between making a start on the neglected housework I've an AA meeting tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to. A lovely lady there texted me through 4 very difficult days this week and I'd like to thank her in person tomorrow. Also got my little daughter's school summer fair on Saturday and she's performing in glee club (aw bless!)

For the first time in a very long time I am actually looking forward to a sober weekend and not dreading it.

Great being part of the weekend gang

y'all are killin me today,
hope you feel better melina, sw and all...

so... I put up my shade triangle, get the tools out, lay down a 12' 2x4 to measure level on one course. then try to decide how long to make it... design on the fly... then because of completely irregular shape of this spot and both sides with unknown angles... anyway, I had to make two trapezoids from a known straight run of wall, then translate it to what my base will be, then combine the two after I figure out the angles and then translate that into another one, then use those angles to figure out a perimeter turn I'll try to make into a regular circumference so I can subtract the angles from the trapezoids to determine the remaining angles of the 'rounded' side and try to come out with something that looks kinda like it should...
Sao, you got your thinking cap on... I decided to have lunch before I get to cypherin... almost out of tea... and the wife turned off the AC last night because she was cold - I come in from outside expecting to cool off... not a chance...

Melina, I'm sorry that you're feeling off. Can we help? A little song? A little dance? A little seltzer down the pants? Ok, that was just me being silly and tired. But a smile helps.

And that's from Mary Tyler Moore, Chuckles the Clown episode.

Congratulations graciepearl 2nd month now

Big up to Soberwolf and Melina

LB - I was lost at "shade triangle" is that the same as a sail shade? In UK we call them trapezoid 'fings trapeziums, at least I guess they are the same. I used to use them for measuring irregular areas but we use what is in effect an "app" at work - dead handy as I destroyed 75% of my brain cells with alcohol - the remaining 37% can't do maths anymore (or math if you prefer)

Good luck Wales

Nugget is fine, Brynn - My daughter just doesn't plan well and I get Nugget sprung on me at the last minute more than I should. She hasn't communicated well with her work about what hours she's able to work without putting me and her father out in a major way. I had plans for tomorrow night that I now have to cancel, and I have to leave work early tomorrow to go pick Nugget up at her other grandmother's house because it's exchange day. It's a 45-minute drive each way. She has to be picked up at 4. It always happens this way.

Hope you can lay down some boundaries with her Marty (easier said than done I know!). Sounds super frustrating!

Oh, I have tried. I told her this is the one and only time I will leave work early to drive 45 minutes to pick the kid up. I know she feels bad about putting me out, but she needs to figure this out. I'm doing it this time because she really needs these hours at work. It's either make sure she can work, or give her money every month. Rock and a hard place.
