After 97 days sober, I slipped the other night and had 5 beers. I am back on track now.

I have been going through a major depression for the past 3 and a half months. I was doing better. But have gotten worse. I have had my meds increased.

I was just so tired of feeling depressed and wanted to feel good for one evening that I slipped. I feel so ashamed and guilty. I know I should let it go and try even harder. That is my plan. However, it is difficult with the depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.

In addition to my therapy, I thought this would be a good place for support.

Welcome bluewaters! :) Congrats on getting back on track! Now just focus on tweaking your plan based on what you learned from this slip.

You will find lots of great support here. You may want to look into joining the June class thread for daily support. I did and it has been extremely helpful.

You made it over 3 months, so I know you got this!
