It might actually be a good thing - could be the help you need and your turning point with the whole addiction thing, M8ey?

The best thing I done was to get my bloods done 2 years ago as they noticed my thyroid was out of whack , daily medication has corrected this . I now request a full set of bloods yearly ,last one was 3 weeks ago and all were normal . Its great peace of mind which is what we need .

My bloodwork showed high ast / alt numbers (markers for the liver function). A followup abdominal sonogram showed that I have fatty liver. Alcoholic fatty liver is reversible by one thing : abstaining from alcohol, and that was my doctors recommendation.

Today is always the best day to quit drinking. I wouldn't put it off. Take care

My opinion is tell your doctor that you have a problem with alcohol before the test because he may order additional tests. Then ask for a referral to a substance abuse professional
