Day One
Welcome to SR, standswithafist. You can do this. We all can do this!
If you haven't already, I highly suggest joining the Class of June 2016 thread found on this same forum. It's a great way to learn from and help others who are also newly sober.

Looks like I've made it through Day 2. Thank the Lord for a friend who has all the seasons of Game of Thrones on DVD. Binge-watching is way better than binge-drinking! Until tomorrow, my friends, and thank you again for all your encouragement and support.
Hey guys day three. I've been around before. I'm going through all the fun WDs and I'm concerned. Went to the doc who gave me something for the anxiety. Hate to trade off one for the other but I don't want to end up with DTs. I had a few months but went on a heavy bender last week.
Day 3. Still here, but it's getting tougher. A friend wants to come over and sit on my new patio with me - with a bottle of wine. It sounds SO tempting! I have told only two people that I'm trying to quit: my BFF and my sister. I don't want everyone to know until I have more time in. This person is someone I work with, and I don't want people at work to know just yet either. I may tell her that I'm "on sabbatical" from drinking for a while and that I'll have lemonade and she can have her wine if she wants.
