Ugh, I hate the lingering consequences of my drinking. I have an interlock device in my car. I was just out sitting in my car having a smoke, and started to car to run the heater (it's chilly here today!). Well after two minutes of the car starting, I always have to do a "retest." Retest failed!! I think it was because I was smoking, but I've never had that problem before. I get a recalibrated unit every two months, and then the unit gets sent in to download the data, which gets sent to the state. A failure could have bad consequences for me. I contacted the company right away, explained the situation, and they put a note in my file. I hope that's enough! The lady I talked to did say that it's possible it was the cigarette, but I have been smoking this whole time and that has not happened before. I hate this.

The Hut, South Lake Tahoe. Well, there's probably a "Hut" in every town. I could walk there, I lived around the corner. Close to SkiRun Blvd. Best clean egg breakfast anywhere, IMO. Or that place... in Bimini with the fish/egg sandwiches. Or the Maltby Cafe, not too far from me. Or...I love a good breakfast dive.

Happy Birthday, Ken. May you have many more sober birthdays.

Did some more research and figured out it could have been... windshield washer fluid!! that caused the interlock failure. It was raining a little when I got in the car, and the windshield was dusty and spotted, so I ran the wipers and squirted a little fluid to clean it off a bit. I also had the heater going, so some fumes probably got into the car. This is crazy. But seems to be true. I guess I should drain the fluid and replace it with water.

You are not supposed to drink windshield washer Marty.
