Hello,
I am a mom of two children recovering from heroin addiction. My son has been on and off heroin for over 5 years and my daughter I had no clue about until my granddaughter was born addicted. Turns out she had been an addict for a little over a year.

My granddaughter had a mild addiction, spent 5 extra days in the hospital. Has no effects from the drug. Currently she is with her paternal grandparents and I am fighting for my 4 year old grandson who is in foster care. I live a little over an hour away from my daughter, so CPS decided I was not a good resource for him even though I am his only living grandparent. When this all happened, I wanted both children because I do believe they need to be together. Today is court and hopefully there will be a good outcome. My daughter did inpatient rehab for 30 days and is now in outpatient rehab for the next 3 to 6 months. My son is in inpatient rehab for the 4th or 5th time and I am hoping he doesn't relapse when he gets out next month. Tired of the rollercoaster and worried about my grandchildren.
