Well, most snowflakes are surrounded by strands of ennui...

Interesting idea trach -- does the ennui spin them in its spare time?

From the links from Huff Post to the artist Alexey Kljatov, actually this: "at first, it was a green rug for footwear, made of artifical fibers, later - black woolen fabric"'

It's my turn

Yeah, it looks like a blowhole - humpback whale, maybe.

Or maybe a sperm whale!!!!! The skin looks like that of a sperm whale, I think.

Is that ice at the bottom of the photo?

Sperm whale blowhole, SoberLeigh for the win!

I'm spending a lot of time in cetology lately.

The world's rarest marine mammal is the vaquita or little cow, Phocoenus sinus. They used to sport around the northern end of the Gulf of California, between northwestern Sonora and Baja California. They're numbers are believed to be down around 12.

I was thinking it was a trick question, but I think you're right, Leigh.

The butterfly greenhouse near me opens this weekend! I love it. They have a display of crysalis in varying degrees of hatching, beautiful plants, classical music, it's just wonderful. It's done by one of the huge plant retailers, and open to the public. Can't wait, there is something magical about the way the butterflies go about their lives.

The butterfly greenhouses are indeed magical, Bim. I was in one about a month ago. Wish I knew how to upload photos to share.

What bird is this? A gift from my son, who writes,

a little family of xxxxxx living in the eves of our roof! They are a male and female mated pair and they have been busily building a nest together all spring. We have named the female Rosemary and the male Citrine.
